Khargone (खरगोन) is a district headquarter of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The Khargone district region was formerly known as West Nimar (पश्चिम निमाड़). It is the administrative headquarter of Khargone District constituting several major administrative offices and Headquarters of Khargone district including the collectorate, police, telecom and various other government organizations. The city is situated at the bank of Kunda river and is famous for its cotton and chilly production. It is also known for Navgraha Mandir, a temple devoted to the nav grahas (Nine Planets).

Khargone is typical Indian town having busy markets several old and new buildings. People from different cultures and religions celebrating multiple festivals and ejoying various events. hotels and restaurants filled with various snacks, roadsides captured by various stalls and thelas serving many items to people especially pan and tea. For transportation the city has a bus terminal providing buses to various destinations. Education in city includes many schools including Kendriya Vidyalaya and Engineering colleges. This region is famous for its cotton & sugarcane. Most of the farmers cultivate these. Due to which several Industries & Mills have been established in last two decades.
